Shiro of Japan recently celebrated its grand opening at The Shops at Atlas Park.
Restaurant owners were joined by dignitaries and elected officials who took part in a ribbon cutting and ceremonial breaking of a sake barrel to mark the occasion.
During the festivities, guests sampled Shiro of Japan's famous hibachi steak, chicken and seafood as well as appetizers including deep fried oysters and dumplings.
Guests also lined up to try a wide variety of sushi and sushi rolls.
&#8220The grand opening was a very special event for us and we are very pleased that so many of our friends came and celebrated with us,” said co-owner Hiro Ishikawa. &#8220Queens is a wonderful community and we are looking forward to bringing our special approach to Japanese cuisine to local residents. We seek to become an integral part of the fabric that makes Queens a great place to live and do business.”
Shiro of Japan at The Shops at Atlas Park offers 16 hibachi dining tables, a sushi lounge, a Manhattan-style cocktail lounge, a party room and an outdoor dining terrace. Shiro is the perfect atmosphere for family celebrations and business events.
