He wasn’t a cop, but he played one while driving the streets of Ridgewood.

A Bushwick man arrested this weekend after cops caught him driving a vehicle equipped by unauthorized flashing police lights also had a full array of weaponry in his possession, police said.

On April 2 at around 11:19 p.m., authorities said. officers from the 104th Precinct spotted a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer equipped with unauthorized lights that flashed as the driver turned onto Wyckoff Avenue without signaling.

After they approached the vehicle, law enforcement sources said, officers observed a police scanner sitting in the car in plain view.

The driver, 56-year-old Anthony White of Woodbine Street, failed to produce a valid driver’s license. Officers checked his driving record and found that his license had been revoked or suspended 25 times in the past.

During a search, police found in White’s possession an imitation pistol that resembled a black 9mm semi-automatic pistol contained in a holster affixed to his pants.

But the fake pistol wasn’t the end of White’s wannabe cop arsenal, authorities said. Officers also found in White’s possession a gravity knife, an expendable metal baton, metal knuckles and handcuffs.

Police also recovered two pistol magazines containing 10 9mm hollow point rounds as well as a stunned gun from his waist.

White is being changed with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree; unauthorized possession of imitation pistol and revolver immunization; aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree; equipping autos with radio receiving sets (scanners); unauthorized possession of handcuffs; unauthorized equipment with unauthorized lights as well as with driving by unlicensed operator and with turning movements and required signals, according to Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown.
