The 107th Precinct released a photo of a gunman wanted for robbing a 23-year-old male along a residential Briarwood street earlier this month.

Police said the incident took place at 10:30 p.m. on the night of Sept. 12, when the perpetrator approached the victim in front of a home on 87th Road near 150th Street.

According to law enforcement sources, the thief pulled out a black and silver semi-automatic firearm and demanded the victim’s property. The 23-year-old man complied with the request, handing over his cellphone and a headphone set; the crook took off in an unknown direction.

Authorities described the suspect as a black male in his 20s standing 6 feet tall and weighing about 140 pounds; he was last seen wearing a red do-rag, a t-shirt and pants while carrying a backpack.

The 107th Precinct Detective Squad is conducting the investigation, with Detective John Acconi assigned to the case.

Anyone with information about the robbery that could prove helpful is asked to call Detective Acconi at 718-969-6844 or Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS; all calls are kept confidential.
