Cops are on the lookout for a suspect that allegedly stole cash from a cell phone store in South Ozone Park earlier this week.

Police said the trouble began at 8 p.m. on Oct. 23, when the armed perpetrator walked into the T-Mobile store located at 134-11 Rockaway Blvd.

According to authorities, he simulated being armed with a firearm and demanded cash. He then removed $850 in currency, then fled in an unknown direction.

Officers from the 106th Precinct responded to the incident; there were no injuries.

On Oct. 24, the 106th Precinct tweeted out information and a photo of the crook, who’s described as a black man believed to be 18 to 25 years of age, standing about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a dark blue jacket with FedEx emblazoned on the front, blue jeans and a dark colored book bag.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts can call the 106th Precinct Detective Squad at 718-845-2260.
