Five people were injured in an early morning shooting on Saturday outside of a Richmond Hill night club with a history of gun violence.
According to police, at 3:46 a.m. on Dec. 8, four women and one man were leaving the Rose Lounge, located at 89-25 130th St., were shot after an unknown man open fired.
The victims, who are all between the ages of 23 and 35 years old, were struck in the feet, legs and buttocks, and at least one female victim was shot in the chest.
EMS responded to the scene and rushed the victims to local hospitals for treatment.
Police say that the shooting may have stemmed from an altercation between two or three men. At this time, it is unclear if any of the victims were involved in the altercation.
All of the victims are expected to survive, authorities said.
The Rose Lounge has had a recent history of gun violence. In April 2018 the club lost its liquor license after a double shooting outside of the location left two people injured.
No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
