John Adams senior pitcher Michelle Tusa tossed her second career no-hitter, striking out 11 in five innings to lead the Spartans to a 13-1 win over Robert F. Kennedy Monday.

Tusa helped her own cause by going 2-for-3. Catcher Carmella Napolitano went 3-for-3 for Adams (5-0, 4-0 Queens II). RFK dropped to 0-3 in the division.

Francis Lewis 15, Hillcrest 1. Lucia Oswald hit a grand slam and Rebecca Trumnio went 5-for-5 with two RBIs for Lewis (5-3, 3-0 Queens III). Betti Pinedo fanned seven in three innings.

Richmond Hill 20, Springfield Gardens 7. Haydee Melendez had five strikeouts in five innings and went 1-for-1 with one RBI and four stolen bases for the Lions (4-5, 3-1 Queens II).

Bryant 10, Franklin K. Lane 9. Alma Pupovic hit a pinch-hit, two-run single with two outs in the fourth inning to cap an eight-run rally for the Owls (14-1) in the nightcap of a doubleheader.

Lane jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the first inning, but Amanda Acevedo came in the second inning and gave up just one run, while striking out five.

Stephanie Cutignola had a two-run homer and went 3-for-3 with three RBIs.

In the first game, Cutignola went 1-for-2 with a grand slam and three walks whole Nat Laureano also went yard, blasting a two-run shot in Bryant’s 13-3 win.

Francis Lewis 3, Curtis 2. Alyssa Schneebaum struck out six in seven innings for the Patriots in the front end of a double header at the Spring Break Tournament in Central Park last Thursday. Curtis won the nightcap, 4-3.

Newtown 15, Arts & Design 9. Diana Martinez went 4-for-4 with four RBIs and three runs scored and Leanne Figueroa went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and stole five bases for the Pioneers (3-3).

St. Francis Prep 5, St. Anthony’s LI 1. The Terriers improved to 7-0 overall Monday with this non-league win over St. Anthony’s Monday. Kristen McEvitt went the distance to get the win, striking out six, while Kristen Scanlon was 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs. The Terries play Friday at Kellenberg Memorial.
