On the Q Tip: Life’s a Garden, wear it

By Jaime Teich

For the summer of 2004 designers have brought the outdoors to your closets, girls, so embrace summer whether you are in the garden or on a hot date in the most chic of restaurants. The tickle of a ladybug crawling on your arm can now be an adornment that is envied by all. The freshest on the jewelry scene includes ladybug necklaces, rings, and bracelets. In various stones, colors, and metals, the ladybug will be lasting longer than summer.Remember the flower frenzy of 2003? Well here's a classic case of fad turned tradition. Larger and brighter than ever before, the flower is used to add funk to the slickest of outfits or embellish the loudest of getups. Placed anywhere from your pants to your bag, shirt to your skirt, the flower is an elegant touch to any gear.Whenever summer comes, I am reminded of my childhood when I ran around trying to catch the pretty butterflies. Well, girls, have that special someone chase you around as you strut in this season's hottest designer skirts and shirts. In an array of colors, and even species, butterfly-inspired attire brings the kid back in all who wear, and all who admire.
