Police said two people walking in the neighborhood noticed the man's head sticking out of the black garbage bag on the sidewalk of 94th Avenue, between 208th and 209th Streets around 6:30 a.m. and called in a report for an unconscious person.Once police arrived at the location, the man who police identified as Derrick Lindsey, 34, of Aqueduct in the Bronx, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.A neighbor living on the block said she did not hear anything unusual Sunday night or early Monday morning until the police arrived at the scene. The medical examiner determined the cause of death to be a single gunshot wound to the chest that perforated the man's liver and spine, as well as damaging his heart and listed the death as a homicide. Police said it appeared the man was killed in another location and his body was dumped in Queens Village. Lindsey had no identification on him when he was discovered, according to police. No arrests had been made in connection with the man's death and the investigation, including interviews, was ongoing as of late Tuesday. The homicide was the second in the 105th Precinct so far this year, compared to six during the same period of time in 2004, according to police records. The other murder earlier this year occurred on Jan. 11 in Laurelton when a man was shot dead while playing a video game inside of the Fantastic International Unisex Barber Shop on Merrick Boulevard.
