Christ the King Speech And Debate Teams Perform Well

Christ the King High School's Speech and Debate Team has accomplished a great deal throughout the year, and with his performance at a recent tournament, Senior Sal Melia has qualified in Congress to compete at the New York State Tournament to be held in Albany at the end of April.
In addition to Melia, Senior Catherine Romano placed second in Congress at a November tournament and two new members, juniors Maria Mammoli and Jeffrey Galeano placed second in the Duo Category. All of the winners received trophies and recognition at the tournament for their outstanding performances.
The New York State Tournament will be held on April 28 and 29 in Albany, and the Melia will continue to practice and prepare for the tournament.
