The Queens Historical Society (QHS), the only historical society in Queens with a borough-wide scope and impact, is asking for residents and all communities to donate (or allowing the scanning of) photographs of the places and people of Queens as they change over time.
“Without original manuscripts and artifacts and most especially documentary photographs we will never be in a position to comprehend and appreciate our past,” said Richard Hourahan, the society’s Collections Manager.
Those who may have photographs or other material of interest are asked to contact Hourahan at the society on Tuesdays and Thursdays at (718) 939-0647 ext. 15.
