Assemblymember Mark Weprin attended a ceremony to honor Andrew Ferdinandi, a passerby who saved the life of a Public School 205Q student. Ferdinandi performed CPR after the child collapsed outside the Alexander Graham Bell School building. He then helped the child back into the school.
Weprin presented Ferdinandi with a New York State Assembly Proclamation at a special school assembly. “Andrew Ferdinandi is a true hero,” said Weprin. “He deserves recognition as an outstanding citizen who did the right thing at a critical moment.”
