Meeting addresses cop/youth relations

A Youth Town Hall Meeting was held recently to improve community relations between youth and the New York City Police Department.
The Town Hall was held at the Guy R. Brewer Democratic Club and was moderated by Ruben Wills. The panel included Patrol Borough Queens South Inspector Timothy Pearson, Captain Steven Haynes of the 105th precinct, Deputy Inspector Michael Blake of the 103rd Precinct, Deputy Inspector Kristel C. Johnson of the 113th Precinct, Assemblymember William Scarborough, Councilmember Leroy Comrie, Jackie Denson and developmental psychologist Lenora Fulani.
Fulani has been looking at the relationship between young adults and police and found that tensions between the two are high.
