Child Drowns In Pool

A four-year-old boy drowned in his family’s pool on Saturday, March 17.
According to reports, Nick Li was found face down at the bottom of the pool at 29-61 218th Street at 3:20 p.m. Attempts to revive him failed.
The child had been playing outside with his older brothers, ages 7 and 8. The elder boys went inside briefly, and when they returned, they found their brother in the pool. They alerted their father, who had been sleeping in the home. Reports said that the children’s mother was shoveling snow. It is unclear whether the pool had been covered at the time of the incident.
