Four skateboarders found a crying infant girl – the umbilical cord still attached – wrapped in a blanket and left atop a trash bin Monday night in Queens, authorities said.

The teenagers were skating by the receptacle on Lamont Ave. in Corona about 8 p.m. when one in the group heard a baby’s cries, cops said.

“He climbed the Dumpster and brought the baby down. I was shocked,” Christopher Moncada, 15, said of his pal Gaby Mercedes, 16, who retrieved the infant.

“It was still moving. I opened the bag so the baby could breathe some more. The baby was facing down. It was completely naked and wrapped in a quilt.”

While two boys in the group called 911 and stayed with the newborn, two others skated to the nearby 110th Precinct stationhouse to look for help.

An ambulance soon arrived and took the baby to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where she was listed in stable condition.

“I saw the four guys; they looked like they were playing around,” said Mercedes Soriano, 35, who lives in the area and was driving by. “I thought it was a joke; then I heard them say it was a real baby.”

Cops searched for the mother last night.

“I’m glad the baby was okay,” Moncada said. “I hope the baby makes it.”
