MyStudentTutor.com (MST) is announcing the beginning of “Summer School @ Home” an innovative and interactive online math summer tutorial program for grades 3 to 6.
Summer is almost here, and the school year will end. While elementary school students are looking forward to their summer vacations with excitement and anticipation, parents are still dealing with their report cards and their grades for the past academic year. Many parents are asking themselves:
1. Will their children pass next year’s elementary math classes?
2. What can they do to improve their children’s elementary math grades?
3. How can they get their children off to a fast start in math next year?
“Summer School @ Home” was designed to answer these questions. The program is only available during the summer and has a 16-week period sign up period, starting in May and lasting until the first week in September. The program includes MST’s diagnostic test and tutorial lessons based on the student’s MST-generated Student Tutorial Plan.
“Summer School @ Home” succeeds as a tutorial program because of the following benefits:
Convenience - Students are able to study when it is most convenient for them.
Interactive - Students are active participants in the learning process by having to interact directly with the lessons.
Private - Students can study without embarrassment of failing or peer pressure.
Progression - Students can proceed and learn at their own pace.
Practice, Practice, Practice - Students can go over the lessons as many times as it takes them to understand the mathematical concepts and principles.
“Summer School @ Home” ensures that while your children are enjoying their summer vacations, they are also:
1. Not forgetting the math concepts and principles taught the past school year.
2. Able to practice and practice some more in their weakest areas of math.
3. Able to start the school year off without having to review last year’s math.
MST’s curriculum is designed to cover all of the contents-based elements for each grade level. It incorporates guidelines taken from California’s Content Standards and Content Frameworks; Florida’s Mathematics Standards; Maryland’s Voluntary State Curriculum; and the National Council for Teachers of Mathematics’ Principles and Standards for School Mathematics.
MST’s lessons are standards-based, and were reviewed and evaluated online by 47 county and state elementary math “Teacher of the Year” awardees from CA, FL, NE, KY, NC, LA, MA, PA, WI, NY, NJ, MD and WV.
