Spanish Dance

The American Bolero Dance Company, whose mission is “to preserve and present Spanish culture in its various artistic forms, including music and dance,” performed its first installment at Centro Espanol, on 41st Street and Broadway. The company has a dance school for children and adults under the auspices of Centro Espanol. According to company founder, artistic director and board president Gabriela Granados, she would like to “expand the club’s [Centro Espanol] potential for a theatre” to present various artistic styles, such as Bolero, Flamenco, Spanish opera, etc., and to serve the community as well. The company will present dance performances the first Friday of every month through June (except January, when it will be held on the second Friday).
