White hosts job readiness fair

More than 500 people turned out for a job readiness fair hosted by Councilmember Thomas White at the York College Performing Arts Center late last month.
The event was designed for those who are currently unemployed or under employed and looking for help dealing with their employment, educational or financial situation. State and city agencies, not-for-profit organizations, unions and job training programs were on hand to recruit individuals for their various programs, as well as to assist job seekers with resume preparation and other job readiness activities.
