A slam dunk

Rockwood Park Basketball kicked off its season on June 22. The league, which serves about 450 boys and girls from 8 to 18, plays in the schoolyard of P.S. 207 in Howard Beach. With 46 teams, “it’s the largest program in the five boroughs,”?according to co-founder and director Anthony Battaglia. Open to any children in the metropolitan area, sign up fee is $30, which includes 12 games, T-shirts, referees and a batbecue at the end of the season.
