The New York Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) wanted for allegedly taking the victim’s money and running.
Police say that on April 24, the victim, a 36-year-old man, was in contact with the suspect on the Internet in regards to buying a 2008 Honda Odyssey. The victim and the suspect agreed that the victim would wire money to a Bank of America account and once the suspect determined that the money was in the account, the suspect would deliver the auto to the victim approximately three days later.
But upon completion of the transfer, the victim lost contact with the suspect and never received the auto. Subsequent to an ongoing investigation, it was determined that the money was withdrawn from an ATM in Brooklyn.
