A touching ‘Cop of the Month’ award ceremony

The Jamaica Rotary, with President Joe Iaboni (third from left), honored “Cop of the Month” from the 102nd, 103rd, 106th and 113th Precincts at its most recent meeting.
Officer Paul Martin (left) of the 103rd was feted for helping to make “three quality arrests in October;” Officers Jose Suriel (second from left), Christian Pinard (second from right) and Linnea Washington (third from right) of the 113th Precinct arrested a stabbing suspect on Thanksgiving day; Police Officer Peguy Sommervil (right) was honored for his efforts in apprehending a robbery suspect; and Lieutenant John McGrorty (fourth from right) and Sean DePatto, 7, (center) were the honorees from the 102nd Precinct.
A donation of DVD players and DVDs to Columbia Presbyterian on December 2 brought Sean, who is battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia, together with his NYPD heroes.
