Awards for Francis Lewis top athletes

Francis Lewis High School held its annual sports awards ceremony, honoring the top high school athletics, on Tuesday, June 8. Among those honored was Kelly Robinson, the school’s UMass-bound star basketball player. The school presented Robinson, pictured with coach Stephen Tsai and athletic director Arnie Rosenbaum, with the coveted McDonald’s All American Nomination Certificate. Only the best ballers from around the country are honored with this nomination. The Fresh Meadows school honored a wide range of sports stars during the event, including alumni Jonathan Bobea, who they inducted into their Hall of Fame after the pitcher was drafted by Major League Baseball’s Anaheim Angels. – Steve Mosco
