A new facility offering a wide range of health care services has opened to serve the community.
JFK Advanced Medical is a multi-disciplinary center located inside JFK International Airport. It offers not only the community, but also airport employees, employers and visitors, a wide range of services including general medical services, occupational therapy, orthopedics, neurology, chiropractic services, as well as substance abuse and anger management counseling. The center also offers a secure medical center inside the airport and provides a response system for developing emergencies and potential terrorist events.
The spacious 4,800-square-foot facility boasts an on-site emergency room, seven exam rooms, and audiology treatment area and other diagnostic and drug testing amenities. JFK Advanced Medical is also affiliated with the MediSys Health Network (Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and Flushing Hospital Medical Center) and all the world-class services it has to offer, including imaging technology, cardiovascular, pulmonary and other services.
JFK Advanced Medical opened its doors only recently, but its staff has been providing expert care for much longer. The well-credentialed staff has many years of experience providing quality health care in the airport. Practice Managers Dr. Raymond Kayume and Dr. David Rosenthal have worked in the airport for over 10 years and have a large patient base. Medical director Dr. Manuel Ceja is a senior aviation medical examiner with credentials ranging from medical review officer to FAA safety counselor.
