The 16th Annual Queens Leaders Award Reception will honor local corporate, community and physician leaders in the borough on Thursday, October 21 at The Center for Automotive Education and Training in Whitestone.
This year’s honorees include Magdalena Cadet, M.D., a rheumatologist at New York Hospital Queens; Mayra DiRico, executive vice president at HSBC Bank; Ravi Patel of Ravel Hotels; and Farrell Fritz, P.C. Attorneys at Law.
The reception’s goals are to raise awareness about arthritis, raise the profile of the foundation in Queens and to raise funds. This year, the foundation is trying to raise $70,000 for those affected by arthritis.
“We are really excited about this year’s reception,” said Jennifer Villa Kearins, senior director at the Arthritis Foundation’s New York Chapter. “We have a lot of support this year . . . we could always use more.”
