The owner of Casa Romana, the Queens Boulevard restaurant where a huge fight broke out last month, has had his plans to rent his establishment to a raunchy promoter thwarted.

The owner had rented the bar to 4Skin Productions, which was promoting a party on Oct. 8 where scantily-clad woman would provide “Body Shots”, “Lap Dances” and “Oil Wrestling.”

However, upon getting word of this event, Jimmy Van Bramer’s office and the local police were able to convince the owner of Casa Romana to call the party off.

The proposed party would have come just weeks after the community called for the bar/restaurant to be shut down, following several stabbings that took place there on Aug. 28, which led to 14 arrests. Other parties held there have also turned ugly, elected officials have said.

In a statement about the proposed 4Skin Production event, Van Bramer’s office said the following:

“Our office has been working closely with the community affairs unit at the 108th (police) precinct to address the issue. The owner of Casa Romana and the promoter for the event in question have been contacted to discuss community concerns about this proposed event, after which the owner is stating that he will not have the party. Council Member Van Bramer is still in conversations with [local precinct] Captain Powers to make sure that the owner follows through with his promise. We will be following this situation closely.
