The New York Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who tried to rape a woman early Sunday morning in Bayside.
Police put out a video clip of the suspect, who was described as a 5-foot 7-inch light-skinned Hispanic in his mid-20s with a medium build and dark colored hair.
A 24-year-old woman was walking northbound on Bell Boulevard at around 5:50 a.m. Sunday when the suspect approached her from behind, grabbed her and dragged her into the corridor of 38-28 Bell Blvd., police said.
The suspect then threw the woman to the ground and tried to rape her, police said.
The victims screamed and the man fled, police said.
