Bell Boulevard all aglow

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

The Bayside Village Business Improvement District (BID) lit the streets of Bell Boulevard for the holidays on Tuesday, November 23.

Gregg Sullivan, Executive Director of the BID, joined residents before the tree and menorah were lit. Senator Frank Padavan, Assemblymember-elect Ed Braunstein and other officials were also present.

And, of course, there was Santa.

Angel Arocca, 11, said he enjoyed the ceremony.

“I loved the part when Santa was singing,” he said. “I liked when they lit the tree too.”

Keil Brothers Incorporated donated the Christmas tree, which now stands all aglow by the Long Island Rail Road Bayside station.

“I’m really excited,” added Sullivan. “There’s already a whole new vibe on Bell Boulevard. We’ve totally changed the whole boulevard, and everyone’s coming out to play. I’m really happy about that.”
