Mets offering Holiday Three Game Pick-A-Packs tix

This holiday season, the New York Mets are displaying some goodwill as they try to lure fans back to the ballpark in 2011.
After suffering through the largest drop in attendance in Major League Baseball, the Mets hired a new general manager, a new manger and have now announced new Holiday Three Game Pick-A-Packs for the 2011 season at Citi Field, on sale now at www.mets.com.
Fans can build their own Packs, which start at $60, by choosing one game each from the “Premium,” “Classic” and “Value” game pricing designations. Seating availability for the Holiday Pick-A-Pack includes Caesars Club, Left Field Reserved, Promenade Box and Promenade Reserved. Choice of seat category will apply for all three games in a pack and are subject to availability.
The Mets are offering these packs as a way for fans to gain access to games of their choice months before single game tickets go on sale.
This announcement comes on the heels of the Amazin’ Mets Perks, a new rewards program announced by the team that promises special perks for fans who renew and pay for their full season plans in full by December 15.
The perks include Mr. Met appearances, SNY studio visits, throwing out the first pitch at a game, a trip to a road game, a team store shopping spree and many more. The Mets also cut ticket prices for the coming season by an average of 14 percent, with season ticket holders receiving a 10 percent discount.
The Mets went 79-83 in 2010, marking their second straight losing season. That contributed to attendance dipping 17.2 percent in Citi Field’s second year since replacing Shea Stadium as the team’s home.
For fans that still “Gotta Believe,” season tickets, 40 game and 15 game plans are also available right now on the team’s web site and by phone at 718-507-TIXX.
