Officers of the 114th Precinct have arrested a third suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that happened in May.
According to police, on Saturday, May 22, a verbal dispute turned fatal when Rivera shot Stefan Middleton, 34, in the torso.
Lashawn Battle, 21, charged with murder in the second degree, gang assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree; and Anthony Johnson, 24, charged with assault and gang assault in the second degree, were previously arrested.
Rivera was taken into custody on Monday, January 3. He faces charges of murder, gang assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
