An open letter to Steven Stites, communications director for City Councilman Dan Halloran (R-Whitestone):
I have known our councilman for some time and would never consider him a liar. Community leaders, elected officials, city workers and Mayor Michael Bloomberg are ignoring the truth.
We definitely had a slowdown — or maybe you could call it a “speed-up,” since we had plows speed down 12th Road with their plows up.
Mr. Stites, I would like to remind you that it was Bloomberg who did not believe our councilman. State Assemblywoman Grace Meng (D-Flushing) also thought there was a hidden agenda.
Halloran has worked tirelessly for his constituents. Let’s not call him a liar. Keep up the good work, councilman.
