Jackson Heights resident Joe Gindoff is living the cool life in a two-ton igloo he built behind his Hawthorne Court co-op. Gindoff, 50, assembled his frozen home out of 100 blocks of ice and even added a fireplace to warm up over the chilly weekend. To build his icy abode, Gindoff filled a wooden box with snow, compressing it into bricks and repeating the process 100 times. He had better savor it while it lasts though, as the temperature is expected to top 60 by the end of this week. – Steve Mosco
