The latest assault on the city’s public school teachers is outrageous! The mayor is still insisting that he needs to lay off 6,000 teachers, even with a $2 billion surplus. What is he trying to pull here?
We need every politician in this city and state to vote against what Mayor Michael Bloomberg is attempting to do. He is attempting to break the United Federation of Teachers and further anger and divide teachers, school administrators and parents on this volatile issue.
If Gov. Andrew Cuomo is insisting that there is no need to lay off teachers, then why is the mayor insisting that this still could take place? Bloomberg may be a billionaire, but does he have any common sense? If he does, it must be in his backside. If he sits down, he will crush his brains!
This mayor has no regard for any hardworking person in this city and all of our politicians need to unite behind the hardworking teachers, firefighters, police officers, EMS and sanitation workers and the rest of the city unions and tell the mayor and his rich political cronies to not mess with us or our well-deserved salaries and hard-earned employee benefits.
