A dedicated team of water-logged winners took to the pool and emerged victorious once again.
The TRI-M girls Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) swim team, the Mercy Martyrs Mermaids, won their ninth consecutive Brooklyn/Queens diocesan championship at the Nassau County Aquatic Center on Sunday, March 13.
TRI-M represents Our Lady of Mercy and Our Lady of Queen of Martyrs, both of Forest Hills, and is comprised of girls ranging from five to 13 years of age. The team has a massive turn over each year, making their year after year dominance even more surprising.
