A new chicken & ribs restaurant opened in Sunnyside on Thursday.
Sunrise Restaurant & Grill, located at 41-08 Greenpoint Ave. (the former location of Floresta) specializes in BBQ chicken, BBQ ribs as well as buffalo wings and snow crab legs.
The owner, Adam James, previously ran a number of restaurants that specialized in buffalo wings, before selling them to Planet Wings, a large restaurant chain.
Sunrise Bar & Grill offers, among others, the following dishes:
- A chicken & baby back ribs combo (combo–served with corn bread and a choice of baked potato, rice or fries) will cost $11.99.
- Half chicken combo for $8.99
- BBQ chicken and fried shrimp combo for $13.99
- 10 pieces of buffalo wings for $7.95 (flavors: nuclear, hot, mild, medium, garlic parmesan, honey bbq, thai chili, honey mustard & jerk)
- Kids menu for about $5 per child

The restaurant opens at 6:00 am and offers a breakfast menu– from eggs, waffles, sausages to pancakes.
The restaurant plans to open a bar, which will eventually sell frozen Margaritas, Daiquiris and the usual fare.
