Update: The Hip to Hip production of previously rained out “Much Ado About Nothing” is now rescheduled for August 16 in Sunnyside.

Sunnyside’s Hip to Hip Theatre Company will present Shakespeare all over Queens, and locally in Sunnyside Gardens Park, 39th Avenue at 49th Street. The performances are free and open to the public, and begin at 7:30 p.m. Each play will run about 1:45 minutes and include an intermission with refreshments for sale. Bringing your own blanket or low lawn chair is recommended.
Wed., Aug. 10: Othello “Perhaps Shakespeare’s most moving tragedy–a poignant story of love, insecurity and the poisonous influence of jealousy.”
Tues., Aug. 16: Much Ado About Nothing “This merry war of wits is the quintessential romantic comedy–full of eavesdropping, deception and triumphant love.” (Information from Gail Griffen)
