Lentini Reopens After Health Dept. Shuts it Down

The New York City Health Dept. has given Lentini, a Sunnyside pizzeria, the green light to reopen.

Earlier this month the establishment was shut down by the dept. The owner attributed the closure to an ongoing issue with the department over the placement of his food preparation license. He said he has been treated unfairly.

The following is its latest inspection results.

Violation points: 3

Sanitary Violations

1) Non-food contact surface improperly constructed. Unacceptable material used. Non-food contact surface or equipment improperly maintained and/or not properly sealed, raised, spaced or movable to allow accessibility for cleaning on all sides, above and underneath the unit.
