Eric Barrios is the Vice President and Branch Manager of HSBC Bank in Woodside. He first started
his career in the banking industry nine years ago, when he began as a personal banker at HSBC in
2002. He took over as vice president in August of 2010. A Queens resident for most of his life, he was raised in the heart of Jackson Heights. Barrios was born and raised in Central America and immigrated to the United States at age 11. Although the culture change was drastic, he adapted quickly and soon fell in love with his Queensborough – where the majority and the fondest of his memories were created. At HSBC Bank in Woodside, Barrios manages 11 team members and manages the more affluent clients in the location – which make up around 75 percent of the clientele. He attended Newtown High School in Elmhurst and Queensborough
College in Bayside. Barrios started his banking career with Citibank in Woodside right after he graduated college in 2003 and later moved to HSBC bank. Proud to be a Queens resident, he has hadthe opportunity of meeting many business entrepreneurs, which he has enjoyed since joining the banking industry. Helping clients achieve their financial goals and dreams has been a fantastic experience for Barrios. The growing Queens community– and the most ethnically diverse community in the United States — has contributed in great part to his success. He has been blessed to have the opportunity to live and work in such a great place.
