JAMAICA — Police were asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with four gunpoint robberies in southeast Queens over the last two months.
The suspect, described as a black man in his 20s between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 with a thin build, first hit the JFK Inn, at 154-10 South Conduit Ave. in South Jamaica, around 4:45 a.m. Jan. 15, where he was armed with a silver semi-automatic handgun and demanded the 42-year-old victim give him money, police said.
The victim complied and the suspect fled with an unknown amount of money, police said.
All four victims in the spree were not hurt, police said, and the suspect brandished a silver semi-automatic handgun in each incident.
The suspect also wore the same types of clothes in each robbery: a hooded sweatshirt and a multicolored green, yellow and red bandana over the lower half of his face, police said.
The suspect next struck the Giant Farmers Market, at 138-13 Queens Blvd. in Briarwood, around 5:25 a.m. Jan. 22, police said.
About two weeks later, the suspect robbed the Gulf Stadium Dunkin’ Donuts, at 133-44 150th St. in Jamaica, around 4 a.m. Feb. 2, police said.
The latest business to be victimized was the Gulf Gas Station, at 118-11 Atlantic Ave. in Richmond Hill, which was robbed Feb. 8 at around 5:30 a.m., police said.
