The U12 Cosmos 99 Pre-Academy boys team captured the championship title at the Annandale Premiere Cup this past weekend in Virginia.
Playing in the top division, the Cosmos boys defeated a number of top-ranked teams, including Upper Makefield and Canada’s Mooredale Lightning Gold, with 4-0 and 3-0 shutouts respectively.
In doing so, they advanced to the quarterfinals where they defeated the Ohio Premiere Eagles 4-1 and moved on to face Ohio’s formidable Challenger Crew Juniors in a grueling semi-final match which ended in a 3- 1 victory for the Cosmos.
In the finals, they once again were matched against Mooredale Lightning Gold and shut them out again with a 5-0 victory.
