This weekend, the Gottschee U13 boys had a bit of difficulty.

On Saturday the boys played two games; in the morning they faced Silver Lake, losing 3-2. In the afternoon, they played HBC in the NY Cup tournament and lost 1-0.

On Sunday, the boys went to New Jersey to Play SMC United. Unlike Saturday, they came out on top, 3-0.

On Saturday, the BWG Cosmos U12As played against Jersey Shore Boca Jrs. and won 5-2. Goal scorers were Joseph Sepulveda (2), Peter Mazanek , Daniel Churbakov and Billy Moutopoulos.

On Sunday, the BWG Cosmos U12A played in the state cup against the Dix Hills Hurricanes. BWG Cosmos played well but took a loss, 2-1. Mazanek scored the lone BWG goal.

The Boys U17 Green team came from behind to tie Soccer ABC 3-3 at Miller Field in Staten Island.

Sloppy weather did not help the Cosmos, as Soccer ABC scored two goals early in the first half. Anthony Vilardi began the come back when he headed in another Francisco Osorio corner kick to bring the score 2-1 after the first half.

Two more Cosmos goals by Joe Gaviria and Ivan Vujin helped the Cosmos take the lead, but it was short lived as Soccer ABC was able to equalize the game in the end.

The U17 Green team remains in first place at the halfway point of the season.

High school girls

The HS girls played season game against Brentwood Thundercats and the girls won 3-2. Goals were scored by Olivia McFadden with two by Therese Boyle.
