Mls Crowns Challenge Champions

Martin Luther School (MLS) Head of School Randal Gast (at left) and Middle School Principal Barbara Chin-Sinn (at right) congratulate winners of the Maspeth school’s second annual Academic Challenge. The school crowned spelling bee, Bible challenge, geography challenge and mathematics challenge champions. The first and second place finishers in each category will receive either a scholarship to Martin Luther School’s middle or high school program or a gift card. MLS eighth-grader Esther Schulze won the Bible challenge, while fellow eighth-grader Pedrojade Torino Lopez won the spelling bee, Luigi DePalma of Redeemer Lutheran School won the math challenge and MLS eighthgrader Emmi Schulze won the geography challenge.
