A group of restaurant and bar owners along Skillman Ave. is hosting a pub crawl next Saturday.

The establishments that are participating in the event are: the Copper Kettle, Aubergine Café, The Brogue, Murphy’s Bar, Quaint, Flynn’s Garden Inn, Claret, and The Dog and Duck.

This will be the second “bar/restaurant hop” put on by the group. The first was on Jan. 26 that attracted more than 100 participants.

“Our aim is to introduce people to new places,” said Tim Chen, the owner of Quaint, who is an organizer of the event.

Attendees must register for the pub crawl at the Copper Kettle, located at 50-24 Skillman Ave., between 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 21.  They will be provided with bracelets that will allow them to get their first drink half price at each location. The event begins from the time of registration and will end late.

To participate, pub crawlers must bring $5 worth of canned food when they register. That food is donated to the local food pantries.

The event takes place on the same day the Kiwanis Club is holding its street fair on Skillman Avenue between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
