Woodside Show ‘a World of Pure Imagination’

Members of the St. Mary’s Drama Guild in Woodside will celebrate their 63rd anniversary year with their production of the musical Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The show, based on the Roald Dahl novel and the 1972 film, is directed by Ann Smith and features cast members from a number of local schools. The cast includes Robert Biernecki, Alexa Dayoan, Allanah Doherty, Daniella Duarte, Ashley Gleason, Kerryclare Gleason, Shannon Gordon, Joseph Harvey, Alex Gugliuzza, Kyle Kopczynski, Gerard Lally, Nick Ostemeier, Claire Spinetti and Scottie Stegman. Performances will be held at St. Mary’s Auditorium, located near the church at 70-31 48th Ave, on two Saturdays, Apr. 28 and May 5, at 6 p.m. and two Sundays, Apr. 29 and May 6, at 3 p.m. For more information, call the St. Mary’s rectory at 1-718-672-4848 or send an e-mail to missannsmith@live.com.
