Dinner for a cause

In conjunction with Autism Awareness Month, The Samuel Field Y hosted a charity dinner at Bourbon Street Café on Bell Boulevard in Bayside last week.

A generous portion of patrons’ bills was donated back to the Y and used towards funding for programs for children with Autism. Total raised was $3,276.

The Samuel Field YM&YWHA, known as “The Everybody Place,” is a not-for-profit, multi-service, multi-site community based organization that provides a diverse array of programs and services to over 30,000 residents of Queens and western Nassau Counties.

Since its inception over 55 years ago, the Samuel Field Y has been dedicated to the core element of its mission – enhancing the quality of individual, family and communal life through service to people of all ages, ability levels, stages of life and backgrounds.
