Helping Vets Get Back to Work

Veterans from across the city came to The Shops at Atlas Park in Glendale on Apr. 27 for a job readiness workshop. Sponsored by State Sen. Joseph Addabbo and Assemblyman Mike Miller, the workshop provided attendees with advice on how to re-enter the job market, including résumé writing and handling interviews. The program was held in advance of a job fair for veterans and their spouses scheduled for Friday, June 8, at Atlas Park. Addabbo and Miller are shown along with Patricia McKeever, Eneida Barone and Gloria White of the AARP.
