Suspect sought in Flushing child sex assault

Police are looking for a man suspected of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in Flushing last month.

On July 31, around 7:30 p.m., the man was inside of an apartment elevator near Colden Street and Franklin Avenue in Flushing when he assaulted the girl, police said.

The man fled afterward and was last seen wearing tan shorts and a green shirt with blue stripes, police said.

He is described as an Asian man between 45 and 55 years old, 5-foot-4 and weighing 165–170 pounds.
