More Weekend Svc. Disrupted On J Line

J train service will be suspended between Crescent Street and Jamaica Center this weekend, from 6 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, until 10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19.

During this period, J trains will operate between Crescent Street and Chambers Street, and free shuttle buses will provide alternate service to all closed J train stations in Brooklyn and Queens. These buses will also connect to the Jamaica-Van Wyck station for E train service.

Riders can transfer between the shuttle bus and J train at Crescent Street.

The shuttle buses will stop at the J train stations as follows:

– Crescent Street-on Fulton Street at Crescent Street;

– Cypress Hills-at the B13 bus stop on Jamaica Avenue at Hemlock Street (to Jamaica-Van Wyck) or on Crescent Street at Jamaica Avenue (to Crescent Street station);

– 75th Street-Elderts Lane-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 75th Street (to Jamaica-Van Wyck) or at Dexter Court (to Crescent Street);

– 85th Street-Forest Parkway-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 85th Street (to Jamaica-Van Wyck) or 86th Street (to Crescent Street);

– Woodhaven Boulevard-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at Woodhaven Boulevard;

– 104th Street-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 104th Street;

– 111th Street-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 111th Street;

– 121st Street-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 121st Street; and

– Jamaica-Van Wyck-on the Van Wyck Expressway service road at 89th Avenue.

Late Night L Trains Won’t Run In Bklyn.

L train service will be suspended between Broadway Junction and Lorimer Street late nights on Friday, Aug. 17, from 12:01 until 5 a.m. During this time period, L trains will operate in two sections: between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Parkway and between Lorimer Street and Eighth Avenue.

Free shuttle buses will provide al- ternate L train service at all stops between and including Broadway Junction and Lorimer Street. Riders can transfer between the shuttle buses and the A, J or L trains at Broadway Junction or the G or L trains at Lorimer Street.

The shuttle buses will stop at the L train stations as follows:

– Broadway Junction-on Fulton Street at Van Sinderen Avenue;

– Bushwick Avenue-Aberdeen Street-on Bushwick Avenue at Aberdeen Street (to Lorimer Street) or at DeSales Place (to Broadway Junction);

– Wilson Avenue-on Decatur Street at Wilson Avenue (to Lorimer Street) or on Cooper Street at Wilson Avenue (to Broadway Junction);

– Halsey Street-on Wyckoff Avenue at Weirfield Street;

– Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues-on Wyckoff Avenue at Myrtle Avenue;

– DeKalb Avenue-on Wyckoff Avenue at DeKalb Avenue;

– Jefferson Street-on Wyckoff Avenue at Starr Street;

– Morgan Avenue-on Harrison Place at Morgan Avenue (to Lorimer Street) or on Morgan Avenue at Harrison Place (to Broadway Junction);

– Montrose Avenue-on Bushwick Avenue at Montrose Avenue;

– Grand Street-on Bushwick Avenue at Grand Street;

– Graham Avenue-on Metropolitan Avenue at Graham Avenue; and

– Lorimer Street-on Metropolitan Avenue at Union Avenue.

Knickerbocker Stop Closed For Repairs

The Knickerbocker Avenue station on the M line will be closed at all times beginning at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 until early 2013 as the MTA conducts repairs.

Riders are advised to use the nearby Central Avenue and Myrtle- Wyckoff Avenues stations as alternates. The B54 bus provides connecting service between Knickerbocker Avenue and the two stations.

During overnight hours, shuttle buses will provide additional service along the B54 route between Myrtle- Wyckoff Avenues and Myrtle Avenue- Broadway, stopping at the Knickerbocker Avenue and Central Avenue stations.

Subway Changes

The MTA has scheduled a number of service changes for several subway lines throughout the city due to construction work.

These service advisories are current as of Wednesday, Aug. 15. Last minute changes to service and operating schedules may be made due to weather-related conditions or emergency repairs. Check www.mta.info for schedule changes.

More Disruptions Along The 7 Line

Flushing-bound 7 trains will skip the 33rd Street, 40th Street, 46th Street, 52nd Street and 69th Street stations on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 18-19, from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.

For service to these stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street, 74th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan bound 7 train. For service from these stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to a Flushingbound 7 train.

Additionally, Manhattan-bound 7 trains will skip the 69th Street, 52nd Street, 46th Street, 40th Street and 33rd Street stations on Thursday, Aug. 16, Friday, Aug. 17, and Monday, Aug. 20, through Friday, Aug. 24, from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Service will operate normally on Thursday, Aug. 23.

For service to these stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to a Flushing-bound 7 train. For service from these stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or 74th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound 7 train.

Furthermore, 7 train service will be suspended between Times Square and Queensboro Plaza on Tuesday morning, Aug. 21, from 12:01 until 5 a.m. During this period, 7 trains will operate between Queensboro Plaza and Flushing-Main Street.

For service between Queens and Manhattan, transfer from the 7 train to the E or F trains at Roosevelt Avenue or 42nd Street-Times Square or to the N train at Queensboro Plaza.

During this period, shuttle buses will provide alternate service between Queensboro Plaza and Vernon Boulevard Jackson Avenue. These buses will also stop at Queens Plaza for connections to the E train.

The shuttle buses will stop at the 7 train stations as follows:

– Queensboro Plaza-on Queens Plaza South at 27th Street;

– Queens Plaza-on Jackson Avenue at Queens Plaza South;

– Court Square-23rd Street-on 44th Drive at 23rd Street (to Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue) or on 23rd Street at 44th Drive (to Queensboro Plaza);

– Hunters Point Avenue-on 21st Street at 49th Avenue; and

– Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue-on Vernon Boulevard at 50th Avenue.

Late Night Switches On The E, M Lines

Manhattan-bound E trains will run on the F line between 36th Street in Queens and West Fourth Street in Manhattan late nights on Thursday, Aug. 16, Friday, Aug. 17, and Tuesday, Aug. 21, through Friday, Aug. 24, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.

Additionally, Manhattan-bound M trains will run on the F line between 36th Street in Queens and 47th-50th Streets in Manhattan on Thursday, Aug. 16, and Tuesday, Aug. 21, through Thursday, Aug. 23, from 10 p.m. until midnight.

As a result of these service changes, Manhattan-bound E and M trains will not stop at the Queens Plaza or Court Square-23rd Street stations. For service to these stations, transfer to the 7 train at either Roosevelt Avenue or Fifth Avenue or the R train (before midnight) at the 36th Street or 34th Street-Herald Square stations.

Local Service, Line Changes For F Trains

Jamaica-bound F trains will run on the M line between 47th-50th Streets and Roosevelt Avenue this weekend, from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, until 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20. As a result, these trains will skip the Roosevelt Island and 21st Street- Queensbridge stations.

For service to these stations, take the F train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound F train. For service from these stations, take the F train to 47th-50th Streets, then transfer to a Jamaica-bound F train.

N Trains Skip Stops On Way To Astoria

Astoria-bound N trains will skip the 30th Avenue, Broadway, 36th Avenue and 39th Avenue stations on Thursday, Aug. 16, and Monday, Aug. 20, through Thursday, Aug. 23, from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. During this time period, there will be no Q train service in either direction between Astoria Ditmars Boulevard and 57th Street in Manhattan.

For service to the closed stations in Astoria, take the N train to Astoria Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan bound N train. For service from these stations, take the N train to Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to an Astoria-bound N train.
