Firefighters rushed to put out a one-alarm fire that broke out in an apartment above a Cypress Hills storefront last Saturday morning, Oct. 13, it was reported. According to FDNY sources, the blaze ignited at around 11:20 a.m. on the second-floor of a building on Crescent Street near Fulton Street. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Engine companies 236, 293, 225 and 332; Ladder companies 175, 107 and 135; Squad Co. 252; Rescue 2 and Battalions 39 and 44- under the direction of Division 15-along with the 75th Precinct and EMS units. No injuries were reported. One hose line was used by firefighters to bring the blaze under control, an FDNY source said.
