CK has played well since the start of the 2012 campaign thanks to a fusion of talented incoming players with seasoned veterans like Cathy Lume, Destiny Marino, Francesca Giglio, Stephanie Rivera and Kristen Drogsler.

Drogsler has only allowed three goals against the whole year and is considered one of the city’s best goal keepers.

CK had to face three tough opponents in its last three games, beating Saint Joseph Hill 3-2 at Randall’s Island thanks to a hat trick by Medina Mulic, Notre Dame Academy 5-0 on gaols scored by Francesca Giglio, Stephanie Rivera, Mulic and Diana Paravatos. Finally, CK beat rivals Fontebonne Hall of Brooklyn 1-0 with a goal scored in the 70th minute by Sarah Nolan assisted by Paravatos.

CK has four games remaining before the start of the playoffs. The next game is at home on Brennan Field in Middle Village against Preston on Friday, Oct. 12 at 4 p.m.
