A Halloween pet parade will be taking place in Woodside Saturday.
The parade, which will begin at 11 a.m. at Windmuller Park, will be an opportunity for pet owners to dress their dogs and cats in costume and win fancy-dress awards. The event will run through 2 pm.
Participants will be able to register for the event at Skillman Pets on 50th and Skillman Ave. from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The cost is $20. Attendees will receive goody bags, pet workshops and be eligible for raffles and costume contests. Any funds raised will go to animal charities and community groups.
The event has been organized by Woodside on the Move.
UPDATE:
At the event, councilman Jimmy Van Bramer will announce the allocation of $250,000 in funding which will go toward the renovation of the dog run at Doughboy Park in Woodside.
