Pair Knifed In Ridgewood Corner Fight

Two men were stabbed by unidentified perpetrators during an apparent dispute at a Ridgewood corner early on Sunday morning, Oct. 14, according to police.

Law enforcement sources said the injured men, ages 22 and 24, were treated for injuries which were not life-threatening.

Authorities said the stabbing occurred at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday in front of a location on Myrtle Avenue near Fresh Pond Road.

Reportedly, the two victims got into an argument with several unidentified suspects. The words turned physical when the perpetrators stabbed the 22-year-old man in the thigh and the 24-year-old man the abdomen, police noted.

Following the violence, law enforcement sources said, the suspects fled from the scene in an unknown direction.

Members of the 104th Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene. The 24-year-old man was rushed by paramedics to Elmhurst Hospital Center for treatment of his injury; the 22-year-old victim was treated at the scene and released, authorities said.

No immediate arrests were made and the case was presented to the 104th Precinct Detective Squad for further investigation, police said.
